Thanks very much for this list. I'll check as many as possible next time I'm in
the British Library.- Will also update the info list, "Groupmind feedback
project" at Diagnosis2012 when I find anything.

although I cannot say what bibliography Arguelles included in
his 1975 book, I can tell you some facts from my archives.
The first person I know that included a correlation study in Spanish
(Mexico) was Hector M. Calderon, who made an excellent book about
Mayan mathematical operations in 1966, before that study he published
A Phonetic Study of Mayan Hieroglyphs (1962). Editorial Orion, Mexico.
D.F.
Calderon published a book in 1982, Correlación de la Rueda de Katunes,
la Cuenta Larga (LC) y las Fechas Cristianas. Grupo Mexic. Compañía
Editorial Impresora y Distribuidora. México but I believe it was
republished in 1982 as most of his work occurred in the period 1960-1970.
Revising his bibliography about Maya calendars, he included the
following pre-1975 documents supporting his research:
-Barrera Vazquez A. El Libro de los Libros de Chilam Balam. 1948
-Bowditch, Charles P. The Numeration, Calendar Systems and
Astronomical Knowledge of the Mayas. 1910.
- Escalona Ramos, Alberto. Tablas de los 52 Años de la Cuenta Maya. 1955.
- Girard Rafael, Los Mayas Eternos. 1962.
- Lizardi Ramos, Cesar. Computo de Fechas Mayas. 1939.
- Palacios, Enrique Juan. El Calendario y los Jeroglificos
Cronograficos Mayas. 1933.
- Pavon Abreu, Raul. Cronologia Maya. 1943.
- Sanchez, George. Arithmetic in Maya. 1961.
- Satterthwaite, Linton. Concepts and Structures of Maya Calendrical
Arithmetics.1947.
These authors were the second generation to study Maya calendars in
addition to the well known scholars Brasseur de Bourbourg, Goodman,
Maudslay, Mediz Bolio, Morley, Pollock, Recinos, Ruppert,
Proskouriakoff, Ruz Lhuillier, Spinden and Teeple.
It may be possible that Arguelles knowing Spanish read the books of
the second-generation of authors before 1975. Hope it helps.
