Thanks for quite a few donations:
Dennis Hakanson has sent down from QLD. a replacement bakelite push
button switch that was highlighted in newsletter #5. It was
immediately grabbed by our bakelite cleanup expert Chris Heal for
restoration.
Reg Carter is donating a metal case Avometer 40 and a bakelite
Avometer 7 for use in `producing' a bakelite model 40 look-alike. This
should solve the long search or a model 40 issued by the Bureau.
Stamy Critcos of H.O. Eng. Services has kindly donated from his own
collection a handbook for the Paton ET4a Tube Tester that was recently
donated.
A Working Bee:
Next Friday (May 26th) a couple of us will do some work on the
container to fit some light battens. If any `Melbournites' wish to pop
in to lend a hand please drop a reply to the group email and we will
be in contact with details.
A Future Plan:
We're looking for some suggestions as to what we should try to achieve
in the next year or so. Idle chat has come up with many ideas ranging
from collecting oral histories through to restoring two more Display
Units to complete the trio. So please email in your thoughts, they
will be most helpful in setting some goals for 2006/7.
cheers
