Charlie,
I would be interested in knowing the details of the DVD. Is it the same
exact footage that appeared on 3-2-1, or does it have anything additional?
Thanks,
Nathan

There's actually a KISS DVD that came out ages ago that has on its
special features the 3-2-1 portion. If anyone requires further info
about the title of the DVD I can dig out my copy and let you know.
Cheers!
P.S. I love the uploads so far and I can't wait for more.

From what I can tell, there’s a free version and a pro version so if they are any kind of business, the free version will let you do the basics and force you to upgrade for the more advanced features.
The files I am uploading are VCD-compliant MPGs so if you have a burner app that can do VCD, you’re ready to go. If you want to burn these on DVD, sure you could get them all 5 on one disc but you’ll have to convert them to MPEG-2 first. Also, I just installed LogMeIn Server on my computer at home and LogMeIn Client here at work so now I can upload the files from work without using work’s bandwidth. LogMeIn is free and rad. I’m uploading season 1 ep 3 right now!
Without knowing what program you're using, I can't say what file formats it can accept. One thing that might be an issue is if you don't have QuickTime installed on your machine, but I'm assuming that you do, if you have an iPod. Otherwise, you can convert the QuickTime file with any of the various freeware/shareware apps out there. There are also free web-based apps that can convert files from one format to another for you. You merely go to a webpage and point it to your file(s) and select the format you want to convert from and to.

I have found my solution and have begun uploading files here:
I’ve had a whole myriad of success/trouble with torrents, because they are dependent upon other people sharing the files. Even when people share files, if no one leaves the file shared long enough to get it completely downloaded, then EVERYONE is stuck with an incomplete file. Also, the more people that share the same file, the quicker the download for everyone. If all of us who are interested in sharing these files were to consciously leave the files shared, then I think we could have good success. And, we can always post to this group and request that something get shared if needed. Though its slow, torrents are one of the best ways currently to share large files at little to no cost and for the purpose we’re interested in (that is, its not mission-critical, and its not needed FAST). I’ve successfully downloaded files that are several GB in size. As with most things, your mileage may vary, and this is especially true with torrents.

Open the program you need to do this ONE file at a tim drag the video clip into the program then drag it to the storyboard at the bottom of the program go to save movie and just go though the series of questions doing what it says to do and after each step click next. When you get to the step that tells you to choose the video format or something like that choose High Qualty Video (Small) then keep on clicking next and it will begain creating a new copy of the video in that format. The new copy of the file that you just made should upload fine. If you have any questions just ask. Bob

Do you know how to capture video to your computer? Maybe you can upload some of the video to megaupload and post them in the links section of the group. Bob
i'm out here. my 7 year old daughter started bringing little kid detective books home from the library and plays detective stuff so I dug out my bloodhound gang compilation tapes and she got super into them. she likes the ones that don't have a paranormal thing going on - where there's a pickpocket or trail of clues.
thanks to William Rice, our group's founder. his family sent me his tapes after he died and when we watch them, we say, "thanks william". he taped lots of crazy stuff from the past and i look foreward to my daughter discovering tape after tape as she grows up. kinda nice that its all the same tv i grew up with, gives us more in common.

Hi,
If you have a modern computer within in the past for or 5 years it sould of caame with windows movie maker. If not get it from download.com for free. If you have a macintosh I can't help I personally HATE the macintosh.
Bob

i have some eps i could upload but after checking several of those file transfer sites, either the max size was 100mb or the upload speed was 8kps. any ideas?

I don't have 3-2-1 Contact but I am willing to trade you for other things like I have ALL of Ghostwriter and other stuff. I can't burn DVD's for people I trade through Megauplad. I use AVI files. Bob

I currently have four weeks of 321 Contact from the first season (Noisy/Quiet, Fast/Slow, Communication and Hot/Cold) and am looking for more from that season.
In addition to 321 Contact, I have many episodes of other PBS kids shows (Sesame Street, The Electric Company, Mister Rogers, The Letter People, etc.) that I can trade for...ask and I'll give you a complete list. Most of my material is from PBS broadcasts and has not aired on Noggin or DVD releases. I have a VCR/DVD converter and can send you what you want on DVD.
If interested, e-mail me at jhill524(at)hotmail(dot)com.
Thanks, Jeff

It sucks when we watched it in the 80's it was on 20 times a week and
we can't even get a real full episode. The science may be outdated the
fun is not though.
Many of us on this list have scoured the net for everything you've
mentioned, but its just not out there. YouTube has a number of clips from
the show as well as The Bloodhound Gang episodes.
Don't plan on the show being officially released for purchase on DVD any
time soon, if ever. Unless someone with deep pockets makes a Herculean
effort with Sesame Workshop to make it happen.
