Hi all,
Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself-- my name is Melissa Daniels
and I'm the Community Manager for 360, profiles and Groups. I know that many of
you are disappointed with the decision to shut down 360 and I understand your
frustration.
While it's not possible to keep or "save" 360, I'd like to encourage you all to
visit the profiles blog (http://www.yprofileblog.com), or, email me directly
(yahooprofiles [at] yahoo-inc [dot] com) with ways in which you'd like to
improve profiles. As we've said since launch, profiles is an evolving product
that changes based off of user feedback, and wee'd love to work with you to
improve our products and services.
I'll respond to a few posts here in the group but will for the most part, be
accessible via email or the blog.
Thanks for being a Yahoo! user-- we appreciate your support.

Top Issues/Questions
Q: Why didn't all of my blog entries migrate over?
A: If any of your blog entries (or your profile on 360) was marked as
mature/adult your content will not be migrated over to profiles, as profiles
does not support mature content. However, you should be able to download all of
your blog entries regardless of your adult/mature/content settings.
Q: "You do not have a verified email address"
A: This was a bug and should be fixed now. If you're still having issues, please
let me know.
Q: Unable to access profile
A: If you're having this problem please contact Customer Care directly. You can
reach them using this link:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/profiles/general.html
Q: On 360 I could point people to my profile easily. Now I have to send them
this long funky URL. What gives?
A: Don't fret-- that's not the case. This long URL is there to protect your ID,
but you can easily share your own profile URL if you set your permissions to
share. To do this, go to http://profiles.yahoo.com/settings/peoplesearch and
ensure that the top box is checked and any subsequent profiles/aliases are
checked that you'd like to share. Once you've done this you can easily pass on
your URL to your friends by typing http://profiles.yahoo.com/YOURID and replace
YOURID with the first part of your @yahoo.com email address. So, for example,
you could go to: http://profiles.yahoo.com/yprofileblog and would see the
profile of my public account. That's because yprofileblog [at] yahoo [dot] com
is one of my email addresses. If you use rocketmail, ymail, or have an account
with one of the broadband partners (BT, AT&T, etc.) you'll need to enter your
full email address (ex: http://profiles.yahoo.com/yprofileblog@ymail.com)
