Hi!
I'm sure that you all know about this book, but I was
thrilled to find 3 copies of
"Masterpieces in 3-D M.C. Escher and the art of
illusion" (Katherine Gleason)
I'm volunteer teaching an Escher program to a class of
1st graders and they're absolutely going to love
viewing this book (after our project is done!)
I took it to the school 2 days ago to try it out on
some kids. One asked about 3-D and I started to
explain about the right and left eye, and that there
are different kids of 3-D but definitely ran out of
material!
Now, I just have to try to keep the books in one
piece, as 20 first graders vie to be the one doing the
viewing!
Hey, if anyone wants/cares to give a discussion/demo
on 3-D to a bunch of elementary school kids in Long
Beach, I can totally use it! It can be at a classroom
level, or at a school-invited level (the latter takes
more planning...probably 2008-2009 school year)
Something to think about.
Trish Tsoiasue.
