Was that actually an *upgrade* ? My memory is that the thing that sets
stand-alone mode was called Kortex enabler. There may be a question of
where it is supposed to go.

I can let you have details of my set-up if you want. I'm pretty sure,
though, that in the course of experimenting I managed to have files in two
places that are only needed in one. My system does work in stand-alone
mode, but didn't when I got it - I had to add some files or upgrade or
something.
