Can someone explain just what the mdmsolo file does? I think it's
supposed to set the modem up with the correct parameters but if you
arrange things so as the mdmsolo.inf file is not accessible to the
Pace Solo what does the modem use instead? How can it still display
the connect speed as shown on the task bar at the bottom of the
Windows page for example.

I am still having difficulty understanding why the Solo connects
faster and has a better throughput of bytes when I don't have the
mdmsolo.inf file accessible to it.

Does anyone know what it is in the mdmsolo.inf file that could cause
the slower connection speed and slower data transfer? I am using the
latest modified version from Oliver.

Could it be possible that somehow it's still picking up an inf file
from somewhere else on the computer? I have tried removing and
replacing the modem driver several times but I'm still consistently
getting the same results.
