Yes, that's exactly the case. I'm using my Solo with my inf on this site
on a Win XP Pro machine. I wouldn't risk flashing it using aVMware
machine, better to find the genuine artical. If a flashing operation is
interupted or goes wrong you may end up with a trashed modem. There's no
hurry so you can use the modem with 2.03 until the opportunity to borrow
a Windows 9.x machine comes along (my inf should still work with it).
