You will find (current and archived) friendly discussions of all matters relating to audio. That means anything (including 'black-plastic'). However, our primary focus is on Vintage Classic Audio of the 1970s silver-era before *black plastic pretending to be audio gear* took over the market in the 1980s and 1990s. Tubed audio and DYI kits from the 1950s and 1960s are welcome discussion topics as is music which is the reason behind our passions .

We welcome posts about receivers, tuners, pre-amps, amplifiers, cassettes, open reel to reel, turntables, CD players, minidisc, HT, etc. from the mainline consumer audio companies like Pioneer, Marantz, Kenwood, Sansui, Teac, Akai, Yamaha, Sherwood, Scott, McIntosh, etc. to lesser or barely known brands. Performance, specifications, modifications, repairs, tips, manuals, schematics, dumpster diving and thrift store finds, eBay sales, etc are acceptable topics. Tasteful FS (For Sale), FA (For Auction), WTB (Wanted To Buy), etc. posts in moderate number are also acceptable as is limited OT (Off Topic) discussion.

Group discussions are mostly unmoderated but will be if necessary. Speak freely, but note that excessive rough language and vulgarity is not appreciated. This is a flame-free zone so character assassination will not be tolerated. Abusers, spammers and excessively unsavory characters will be removed.
