Seeing this reminded me of how small infants in shallow water have a very strong
frog-hop habit. Early crawling also shows this. Fits with crouching in water,
more than sit feeding or wading. Probably originated in very early tree climbing
(LCA primate), then reused in upright water crouching, especially when at open
shores where waves occurred, more than wetlands and flooded thickets.
