Description

AJAX 2.0 blurs the distinction between Desktop and Web
Applications. AJAX 2.0 is the combination of technologies
to develop Client-WebServer Database Applications that
mimic (speed of) traditional Client-Server Applications.
To achieve this AJAX 2.0 differs from AJAX i.e. All the
techniques focus on the client side code; AJAX 2.0 dictates
what clientside code webserver must generate, while AJAX
in general is to by any means generate the AJAX client code,
i.e. mostly we think from the PHP or ASP point of view
because we write the code through them.

So If you talk AJAX 2.0, do not talk about the Server side
code, the server has to generate what AJAX 2.0 asks for,
regardless how its create or with what libraries or language.
AJAX 2.0 dont care if ASP.Net developers cant do this
as they have little or no control over exactly what
HTML is generated by .NET libraries.

AJAX 2.0 remains webserver independent by not defining
webserver specific libraries or code ie. AJAX 2.0 techniques
are compatible with all WebServers/Serverside scripting; And
hence with all Javascript enabled Web Browsers.

AJAX 2.0 is not a specification, but practices and techniques
for creation of RIA using XHTML, W3C DOM and JavaScript only.
No need of XML, in Links section read - AJAX2.0 building block,
to know why. Hence Flash and JAVA are considered as equivalent
to HTML Pictures or Nothing more than embedded Objects.

Newbies should first refer to our links section before making
any statements.

AJAX experts are requested to post any new developments here
or anything that U know but we dont; Thanks.

Re: How to make AJAX request between different domains??
My understanding is that most browsers won't allow cross-domain ajax requests as a security precaution - some may allow you to disable that, I dunno. One thing
