The APCO (Association of Public Safety Communications Offcials) team and network of members includes many Amatuer radio members. The role of amateur radio is significant in providing communications resources to the public safety community.

This Fourm is dedicated to promoting the use and integration of the role of amatuer radio in public safety. Membership in the APCO-HAM group is limited to APCO members. Please indicate your membership status when subscribing. If you have questions regarding membership or joining APCO, please contact the List owner at: APCO-HAM-owner@yahoogroups.com Due to the sheer volume of amateur radio operators who are also involved in public safety communications either directly or inidrectly, we will be limiting membership to only APCO members or those associated with APCO after review. All requests for membership should clearly indicate the status, and if possible, an APCO memberhip ID or if not a member, a clear indication of the activities that ties them to APCO and/or public safety communications.
