Re: [APIC_Group] Autopilot interface

I should be a little clearer. I have the D100 Dynon unit, Dynon heated pitot, Dynon pitch and roll servos and Dynon EDC10.  I guess what I am really looking for is a way to interface the GPS output from my HP4700/APIC Pro to the GPS input on the Dynon D100.  I don't know if this makes a difference, but this is my configuration.   Thanks, Randy

Dynon has a proprietary autopilot servo that I doubt very much will work
with APIC. Dynon isn't saying how to drive their servos other than hook
them to another Dynon product. Would be very interesting if it did work
tho.

APIC does output ASCII data that could be used by a specially designed
autopilot (no common autopilots). You have to get the ASCII words and
baud rate set correctly or nothing would work.

You meed APIC Glass to interface the Dynon data output to the APIC
program. I'm about to try it. The Dynon outputs serial data but my
Tablet doesn't have any serial inputs. I bought a serial to USB adapter
so I can get the Dynon data into a USB comm port for display on the
Tablet PC. Will let ya know how that goes.

PS I am a Dynon dealer and will offer anyone on this list a 7% off
retail price for Dynon products!

That is clearer. First does your HP4700 have a serial connector or is it USB only? If it does have a 9 pin serial output all you need is a female 9 pin and 3...

The HP4700 was the one recommended by APIC. It does not have a 9 pin serial or a USB. It has the 22 pin that the charging system uses. I have found info that...
