I have an HP laptop that I had ASCOM installed on. I was having problems, so I
started uninstalling software one by one to see if I could rectify the issue. I
demoved AScom, but eventually I had to send the PC to the service shop. Now
that it is back, I was re-installing the software I removed. When I went to
install ASCOM, it said that I would have to remove the previously installed
version before I could install a new one. When I went to SkyTools 3 and
selected ASCOM supported telescope, it said that ASCOM was not fully installed.

So heres the delima. I can't install ASCOM because the computer says it is
installed, but ASCOM won't run because the installation is only partial.

So where do I begin to remove the partially installed ASCOM? It is not listed
in the program menu, nor in the add/remove program menu. And there is no ASCOM
folder on the HDD.
