Astreya, optical manufacture of high precision lenses. Astreya is also a awarded contractor for the RKA (Russian Federal Space Agency). Their optics are currently being used in the ISS (international Space Station). Astreya produces the air-space quadruplet superapo's and other air-space triplet apo's lenses. The Superapo group consist of owners and people considering owning Astreya line of optics. Astreya lenses range from the 180F/9, 180F7.5 triplet to the 4 color correction Superapo 152F/7, 130F/7 to the 102F/8, 76F/6.5 OK4 apo triplets. Also a new line of S-FPL53 apo triplets for William Optics The FLT 158 F/7 and FLT 98 F/6.3. They also produce custom order lenses. The wait list ranges from 3 months to a year. This is because each lense is carefully made because of the process of grinding, polishing, hand figured, hand assembled, autocollimation and inspection. Quality control resides at the optician level and having the designer on site during the manufacture process ensures that the highest levels are maintain. Andrey Strakhov, Astreya's master optical designer of 30 years, is always designing and improving new apo lens designs for the now and near future for Astreya.
Andrey, a graduated from Moscow University of Radio engineering, Electronics and Automation, majored in Optical and opto-electronic devices. He then recieved his diploma from SPA Astrophisica. Andrey, since design many types of complex opticial systems. He also design the popular INTES MK-66 telescope, redesigned MN-61, MK-67 and many other maks.
Andrey's passion has always been the apo, sapo, and wag apo, designing and creating lenses.
