This is an information site designed to be used by AL's players and staff in the unlikely event that the game goes down temporarily.

Abridged history of AL

Accursed Lands is an offshoot of DartMUD, a venerable mud that was home to some of ALs original creators. Those original creators left to start their own MUD, and AL was born. Now, almost ten years later, both AL and DartMUD are online and going strong!

The AL community

Accursed Lands is always getting better. The playerbase is small but loyal, and growing slowly but surely. Instrumental in this growth are the members of the community who engage in high-quality roleplaying and worldbuilding.

The creators intend to move AL closer and closer toward the RPI ideal - a mud where roleplay is paramount.
