I have a program that I want to protect and I want it to have
different levels like Free (Basic), Bronze, Silver and Gold.
How could I set up my program to use ActiveLock and allow the user to
register for different levels. Would I have to use multiple controls?
I would rather use a single control.
Hello at all.
I have made a big mistake
In the past i have used act.for protect one prog. but now i have
forgot the letter that i write in the soft name.
Is it possible to know the soft name having the software name and
liberation key that i have save in the directory of the program.
Thanks to all
Hello!
I have the following problem:
I'm using ActiveLock 1.88.4 and wrote a program that needs to be
activated.
It is possible to activate the program with the user who installed the
program, but if I logon as another user, it is not possible any more
(the libernation key is wrong then!).
What is the problem?
http://www.sriharish.com
I have used ActiveLock before.. but because it does not have any time trial
features .. i have choose the Exe Protector solution above.
Best regards,
Claudiu

I was using the activelock ver 1.87 until the development stoped and
switched over to the current owners.
Not much has been usable since.
I found this company and the usb keys were cheap so I switch to using a key.
Makes more sense anyway...

I have an idea, as I say it all depends who wrote the code, and which
bits of activelock they chose to implement - You dont have to use every
feature - but the less you use, the less secure it is.
No locking mechanism can be 100% secure and be as flexible and feature
rich as activelock.
However with a name like MaXiZ i wont be helping you to crack a
protected application, as you're clearly wanting to do this maliciously. :)

Impossible - Well not impossible, but will be different for every
application - It all depends how that person has implemented the extension
to the hashing algorithm.
If thta means nothing read the howto docs.

Yup, it works a treat.
Try here:
http://activelock.sourceforge.net/phpBB2/index.php
The project has moved on a bit recently, and this message group is largely
dead.

Not today, maybe tomorrow?
Reason - we do not have access to the source. It's not possible for
others than ASG to test, improve or comment the project anymore. I
personal think ASG has done a great job with this forum regarding the
design and layout, but it's not working as well as the yahoo forum with
e-mail posting to all members when some new word about the project was
spoken...
MADs
PFunk,
If you would look in the original message I posted and not the replies
you would see that it is correct. Yahoo Groups doesn't have a
convenient edit button so I had to delete it and post a new one.
Someone decided to reply with the first one that had the mistake in
it. Why am I explaining such an asinine mistake anyways? Oh yeah,
because someone decided to take the time out of their busy schedule to
post such a worthless reply. I am one of the Project Admins and I am
proud to be. Don't be such a dink about a little mistake.
By the way I am sorry for going out of my way here to notify people of
the change. If all I get is criticism then I'm not going to take
the
time anymore. Maybe that's best anyways.

Did you really mean http://activlock.sourceforge.net or is it
http://activelock.sourceforge.net? As Project Admin, the very least you could
do is get your own URL correct.

This is fine but the project admins a while back moved away from
verion 1 all together and made version 2. Version 2 has been handed
over to us now and now we are releasing version 3.
So you can stay here and chat about version 1 all you want but when I
see people posting that the project is dead and want a trial period I
have to notify them that the new place for improvements is the link I
provided and not here. That is all.
Thanks for your reply.
