A fellow musician!  What do you play?

I have not enrolled in the courses yet, nor do I have any background in anything other than a protestant upbringing.  I am reading, learning as I go, but I find that it is overwhelming.  Are the courses such that one like myself, with no prior exposure to Kabbalah or other related topics, can grasp and easily understand?
