A new 'Calendar of Expeditions' will be posted every January. The Calendar will also include information about the Society's annual meeting -- usually held in November. Members are welcome to post related meetings, shows and events.

The Society intends to carry out fieldwork culminating in essays and/or monographs within every state and, as permitted by law, within every province of our good neighbor to the north -- Canada.

Members of ASAA are also welcome to submit manuscripts for publication in the Society's electronic (online) journal 'The Amateur Archaeologist Online' located at:

Areas of topic for this group are:
American Society for Amateur Archaeology scheduling of expeditions and other archaeological matters concerning ASAA.

Other topics outside of ASAA:
All areas in the fields in Archaeology, including specialized aspects such as paleo, flora, fauna, architecture, ceramics, lithics and theoretical approaches. As there are thousands of specialized fields, the possibilities of discussion are endless.

This group will be moderated by Dr. R. M. Gramly and Sherry Berrigan Pauley. Membership is restricted (all requests for membership must be approved). When requesting membership please include a short bio and include any services you offer or hobbies that might be of interest to the group.
