Description

The American Buckeye Poultry Club is a non-profit breed club formed for the Buckeye chicken (large fowl and bantam.) The ABPC is dedicated to the preservation and improvement of the Buckeye breed and to encouraging fellowship among breeders and fanciers. Our members come from all aspects of the poultry fancy: from those who have a love of heritage birds and use them on their homestead as the wonderful dual-purpose birds that they are, to those who breed exhibition quality Buckeyes in large fowl and bantam, and anyone who just loves Buckeye chickens.

We are Affiliate Members of the American Bantam Association, the American Poultry Association, and the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy (and have as our Technical Advisor Jeannette Beranger of the ALBC.) We have duly elected officers, a Constitution and Bylaws, and District Directors who assist the Executive.

Membership in the ABPC includes a quarterly newsletter, the ability to post to the Members Only section of this forum, eligibility for awards (including trophies at shows), and the chance to compete for points and the year-end Top Exhibitor Award. The club hosts one National Meet per year, and District, State and Special Meets also placed throughout the United States.

For more information please see our website and forum at http://www.americanbuckeyepoultryclub.com or email us at info at americanbuckeyepoultryclub dot com, and thanks for your interest!
