Just had my first chestnuts of this season. Had a burr fall off one
of my trees and when I opened it up the nut was mature. Figured I'd go
out and hit some trees that I know of to see if they were dropping
nuts, and sure enough! picked up about 8 lbs from one tree. Most likely
chinese x.Single nuts are about the size of a quarter and hairy. I'll
plant the singles and eat the doubles.
Happy harvesting!
