I would consider getting 4 trees from different sources for
starters.Chinese or chinese cross. Then start looking around your
Florida area for trees that are producing and established. If you find
some on somebodys property just go and introduce yourself and your
interest to see if you can get some nuts for growing or seedlings for
transplant.Chances are good that if you show a true interest that
people are helpfull. I myself have made many nut friends.Then you can
look for the American hybrids.
Trees grown from seed can take anywhere from 7 years up to begin
producing, so don't delay!
