Re: [American_Chestnut_Trees_and_Hybrids] Success

I would like to purchase some chestnut seed with possible resistance.  Preferably from southern US location.  Hybrids with Chinese Chestnuts, are they any good??  Thanks
Bob

Dear list mates,
I know it's small potatos', but I just finished eating a bowl of
chestnuts that came from trees that I planted.MMMMMM!
Lay them on a cutting board, flat side down ( save the round ones
for planting)
Cut once all the way throgh, at the middle, top to bottom
  Microwave for 1 1/2 minutes , covered
Pop them out of their shells
Return to microwave ,with butter, another 1 1/2 minutes , covered
  Salt to taste.
Think I'll go make some more
