Hello everyone on the list..

Please read the following if you are wishing to ask for help with your Mediator
configuration and system help.

To be able to obtain help more easily and freely and to provide more specific
information about your setup you will need to download and use the MedConfig
script which is available from Elbox at the address below:
http://www.elbox.com/downloads_mediator.html

Running this script generates a 'MedReport.txt' file (I am unsure on the save
position of this file as I dont have Amiga access anymore). Open this file and
copy/paste the output into the email that you sed to the list.

Hopefully that will provide Elbox and of course everyone else on the list with
more support and information about your hardware, thus making it easier for a
solution to be found.

Please can you also be careful with what you quote back to the list in your
replys. Please do not post the entire MedConfig output back again if you are
only commenting on the one section. Mails to the group should be kept to a
resonable size and content specific to the topic of posting. (also, if changing
topic please ammend the subject accordingly!)

(This message will be automatically sent once per month)

Thanks

You could copy the needed drivers to a 720kb floppy on PC and mount PC0 on Amiga
to copy them.

And actually, you don't even need a 720kB floppy to do this...just
tape over the HD hole (the one without the read-only tab) with
masking, electrical, or duct tape, and then insert and format as a
720k disk on your machine. Newer versions of windows (Vista and Win7)
don't allow you to format a 720kB floppy from within the GUI, but you
can still use the old command-line format command. Execute 'format /?'
for a list of options, which will include how to format low-density.
Then just mount PC0 (move it from storage to devs if need be) on your
Amiga.

On a DOS shell type (no quotes!):

" format a: /u /n:9 /t:80"

This will format the drive as a 720kb unit, ready for Amiga use. ;-)

Is there any advantage to upgrading my mediator (old non-mmcd version) to mmcd.
I know you have to replace two chips, does this and cd allow different hardware
to be used on mediator.

I did that many years ago and was very happy with it. It's still working

Hi all, I purchased from the Elbox online store a Radeon 5V card that is
working fine under OS 3.9.

On the same computer I have OS4 Classic installed, and, according to Elbox's
instructions below I have copied over the files, however I still can't get
the Radeon to work.

The screenmodes show up in screenmode prefs on OS4, but if I try to test a
mode or use a mode, the machine freezes shortly after.

Does anyone have the Radeon working on OS4 classic? If so, how did you get
it working?

I am using the latest mediator files (Radeon card 1.7, etc..) from the
latest MM CD update.

Thanks,
Darren

cards to work on OS4?

All you need to do is to copy:
pci.library to LIBS:
Radeon.card to LIBS:Picasso96
Devs:Monitors/Radeon from your OS3.9 partition to OS4 partition
Devs:Monitors/Radeon.info from your OS3.9 partition to OS4 partition
and comment out PCIGraphics.card and 3dfxVoodoo.chip from OS4 kicklayout.

When your Radeon card starts working under OS4 with our drivers
you can activate Fast Ethernet (using Devs:Networks/FastEthernet.driver),
SB128 (using Devs:AHI/ab128.audio) and Spider
(Devs:USBhardware/spider.device)
cards.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Elbox's online support services.

Yes, I tried that, even to remove the entire resident picasso96. L The card
works great under OS 3.9. I tried also disabling petunia totally, and even
copying over Picasso 96 version 2.1b rtg.library, emulation, library, and
fastlayers, library.but no luck.

Have you got it working?

Darren

Can someone please send me (if you have it) the Radeon 1.4b .card driver? I

I am trying to get the radeon to work under OS 4 with Elbox's drivers. With

radeon.card.

I haven't tried yet under OS4 but with OS4's own radeon-driver it doesn't work.
I received an updated driver (radeon.card 1.11) for my OS3.1 installation and it
works there OK. No Warp3D support ofcourse.
