Howdy Shane,
Buying used machinery is always a risky business but, now and then,
you get a real bargain :) .Refridgeration, is something I have tried.
I used a collection of car parts and LPG as the refridgerant.
It got to -18 degress celcius, and my fingers instantly stuck to it
:) .
You sure are right about the homebrew projects being rare. It is all
the more refreshing when you discover that some one is doing
something that you've always wanted to try.
I have a friend here, who also loves to build various things.
Windmills are among his favourite creations, and he likes to test
them here, on my farm. After a few weeks, bits fall off - and the
repair team has to be called in hehe.
Otherpower.com, is a marvellous site - one that I visit quite often.
Another site that you may like, is:
http://www.windstuffnow.com/
This has numerous, inventive, projects and a number of links to other
good things.
The inventive mind truly does abound on the net, but it is not quite
as easy as it should be, to find some of these highly creative souls.
If I find any other homebrew type sites, I will add these to the
links section of this group. Please do feel free to add any such site
URLs to this groups' links page.
Looking forward to hearing of the creative endeavours of others on
this group.
Please don't hesitate to write in.
Cheers,
Steve. - the one who grinds, at least half of, his welds :) .
