Howdy bcstboy,
Fortunately for me, this was an older car - that did not have much in
the way of electronics for the engine.
This allowed me to strip away all of the anciliary electronics, and
develop my own systems.
The fuel injection system, is the good ol' mechanical type - and the
throttle mechanism is nice and simple, just the way I like it :) .
The AmpTramps' homemade computer, manages all of the engines'
requirements, right down to pre-heating the glow plugs at the time of
starting.
Starting, is an automated sequence. All the operator has to do, is
push the remote control button, and the computer carries out all of
the steps that would normally be carried out by a person starting a
car.
My setup is pretty basic, but very heavily built - as I really hate
the idea of anything falling off :) .
Cheers,
Steve.
