This group is about ancient Egypt, old cultures, ancient beliefs and sunken cities. How do cultures emerge and how do they vanish again ? What happened at the dawn of history, when myths became reality and vice versa ? Topics are the mysteries of the pyramids, hieroglyphs and temples. We examine egyptian history from the Old to the
New Kingdom, and discuss egyptian literature from old egyptian tales to your favorite egyptian novel.
This is not a "kemetic" group. If you believe you are a high priest of an ancient Egyptian god or if you receive secret messages from Osiris or Isis this is probably not the right group for you.
It is not an esoteric group, either. People who are convinced
the Sphinx is an ancient legacy of a secret 20,000 year
old race or that aliens hid atomic bombs in the pyramids will not meet with approval here. However, weird theories about nuclear warheads in pyramids or the Egypto-Atlantean Bomb are welcome as long as they are funny.
It is just a group for normal people who are interested
in ancient Egypt, who want to know what really happened
4000 years ago. WARNING. Talking about ancient religions
may affect and alter your religious beliefs. Join at your
own risk.
Irrelevant or obnoxious Postings which have nothing to do with culture, history, ancient Egypt or related topics are removed. Persons who post spam are banned immediately and are covered with the worst ancient curse.
