  Fallen Soldier All Alone
Fallen Soldier Far From Home.
Trickling Down His Face A Tear,
Forgetting How It Feels To Fear
Death And All It's Fate And Glory.
Now It's Here, No Need To Worry.

Fallen Soldier All Alone
Fallen Soldier Far From Home
He's One Of Those They'll All Forget;
The Life He Lived, The Goals He Set,
The Ones He Loved, The Ones Who Wait
To See His Nearly Forgotten Face.

Fallen Soldier All Alone
Fallen Soldier Far From Home
Now Breathing's Just A Waste Of Breath
And Living's Just A Waste Of Death
As He Searches For A New Address;
A Brand New Home Free Of Loneliness.

Fallen Soldier All Alone
Fallen Soldier Far From Home
Lying Motionless On The Ground,
The Battle Raging All Around.
For Now He Is Not All Alone.
This Fallen Soldier Is Welcomed Home.

Simply beautiful!!!

THE U IN JESUS

Before U were thought of or time had begun,
God stuck U in the name of His Son.

And each time U pray, you'll see it's true,
You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.

You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name,
For U, He was born; that's why He came.

And His great love for U is the reason He died.
It even takes U to spell crUcified.

Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand
He rose from the dead, with U in His plan?

The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew,
and this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.

When JesUs left earth at His upward ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.

'Go into the world and tell them it's true
That I love them all - Just like I love U.'

So many great people are spelled with a U,
Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?

It all depends now on what U will do,
He'd like them to know,
But it all starts with U.

Will YOU pass it on.

ARE YOU READY?

Hillcrest Baptist Church, January 25, 2009

I Thessalonians 5:1-11

“The Day of the Lord”

Paul reminded the Thessalonians

Of truths that he had taught.

Jesus was coming again,

But they must not be distraught.

The Day of the Lord will come

Like a thief in the night.

Those who are prepared

Will welcome it with delight.

People who are clinging

To a false type of security

Will be judged by the Lord,

Who will see their impurity.

Humanity will be divided

Into two exclusive classes.

On one side will stand believers,

On the other, the lost masses.

Believers must remain sober,

Wearing the helmet of salvation.

They must have faith and love,

As they make preparation.

Believers are to be like

Light that shines in the day.

They have accepted Jesus,

Who is the Truth, the Way.

Unbelievers are like darkness

That comes when it is night.

They have rejected Jesus.

They refused the way of light.

Nobody knows just when

Jesus will return again,

But we know He will appear.

He will establish his reign.

The Day of the Lord should

Hold no fear for anyone

Who has accepted Christ,

Jesus, our hope, God’s Son.

(SRH…1/23/09)

“Behold, he cometh with

the clouds; and every eye

shall behold him: and all

kindreds of the earth

shall wail because of him.”

(Revelation 1:7)

I am unintentionally following in Dmitry's footsteps (Kate's dad).
When I first met him he told me he was honored in Who's Who among professional men.
As he was a systems engineer for a company in Missouri.
I was like, "O.K."
It's just a huge directory book lsiting all the local professionals and entrepreneurs in your area
Who MUST be nominated by someone to recognize your abilities and accomplishments, to sum it up.
Thanks Karen and I signed up for that multiply site!

Oh, sorry, I checked & I'm under luv2prr.  Sorry.  Now when you set up & start inviting people, you will need to keep them hidden.  People have a hang up about that otherwise they will not add you as a friend.  I'll show you how to.
And if you don't want the whole world to see what you put in storage on there, when you post,  on the page that comes up  after your download is finished,  towards the bottom, in the access dropdown box, select Contacts.  Then u have a list under contacts that have green checks in them.  Take out all the checks except for the first one which is "My friends who have a direct connection to me".  This way only your "friends" who are on your friends list are the only ones who can view them.  But, if you want other people to have access also, then put checks in those boxes you wish.
Then select "Save Changes" on the bottom.

There is also a history you will notice on the bottom of your homepage.  This tells you who has come to visit & when & what they viewed.  This is a very detailed history.

To hide your contacts...
we'll have to work on that together cuz I had a hard time with that on mine.

I like the pretty unicorns!  They're awesome!

I do a bunch of stuff, too.  Do you have a multiply site page??  I have a bunch of stuff on there, even recipes!!  LOL   my site ID is karenzplace I think.  Or under my name, Karen Wright.  But, I'm scanning all of my craft books so I can sell them.  I'm even getting some from the library to scan.  All these patterns i put on this site so they don't tie up my computer.   Let me know if you are able to get on multiply or if you are having trouble.

I just wish they had layaway sometimes.
They got a whole bunch of cute stuff!
Do I do crafting? HECK YA!!
Beaded necklaces, earrings, bracelets, watchbands, flower arrangements and wreaths and swags, various crafts, sewing, cross stitching. I make my own curtains and kids' Halloween costumes, pillows, etc.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE to craft. I even paint! And draw! And glass etch!
Do I craft?

Oh, I forgot to mention, I finally found a job!  I'll start working at Target this Friday 13th!  Oh, Lucky Day!!  LOL!!!
Last week was a tough one for us cuz my basement had a couple inches water in it when we woke up one morning after a pretty good rain.  So, we finally got that all dried up.  The only thing I had to throw away was a throw rug I had down there.  No biggie.
had to bank the house on one side we think that may be where the water is coming in
the land there is too flat & we needed to bank it to get the waterflow away from the house
I sure hope that did the trick cuz we're suppose to get wet again starting tomorrow
suppose to get about 4"it's starting to get pretty cloudy right now. pray that this did the trick.  Also, alan said the back steps had a crack between the steps & the cement wall.  & for some reason there is a vent under the stairs!!!  Dummies.  Alan said he sealed it once before either last fall or this past spring & it didnt leak at all when we had big rains...
now all of a sudden, there is a flood & so he looked & the sealant had cracked.
so it is possible that may be the culprit, too. He just got done resealing it realllly good.
We're gonna keep a sharp eye out when it's raining to make sure.

Do you do any crafting??

Man! You wouldn't believe what happened to us this weekend!
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all!
I'm tellin' ya!
Sunday morning, Ron and I were out driving around to yard sales and flea markets
And we pulled up to a stop sign at an old country intersection (where there's hardly anybody around)
And we live in the middle of no where but corn fields and soy bean farms.
And we pulled up behind a p/u truck (so we thought it was) pulling a HUGE long a$$ John Deere bean head picker.
This thing is huge. It's about 3-4 car lengths long. And we can't see the p/u truck in front of it. And all of a sudden
It begins to back up. So we put the car in Reverse and try to back up. By time we laid on the gas to back up, that bean head whatever it was was ON TOP OF OUR CAR!!!!!!
The hood is all scratched up and dented and the driver's side head light is GONE! And the driver's side fender is smashed in.
And the guy gets out of the p/u truck, "OMG! I didn't even see you there!" I was like, "Yeah, and if I KNEW you were gonna back up I would've definitely done so a long time ago! But I couldn't see your tail lights!"
He said he had to back up because there was a minivan that was turning onto the street and he was afraid they were gonna clip him so he backed up to make room for them to turn onto the street.
Luckily, he works for a huge farming company (his boss was slowly trailing him in a John Deere Columbine and stopped to assess the damage), and their insurance is either gonna pay for the damages or pay for another car!! And if my car is in the shop, I hope they will pay for a rental car for me to travel back and forth to work in!
I'm off today (lucky enough) because it's "in observance of Veteran's Day" which is on Wednesday.
Then I was told at the company I might be the only one working for the two days (Monday and Tuesday) before the three days we'll have off for the week of Thanksgiving because for the price of taking those two days off, peeps around the office can get NINE days in a row. Because we're off the day before, Thanksgiving and the day after turkey day...including the weekends in there and if you take off Mon. And Tues. That's nine days in a row. WOW.
And then in December we're off nearly TWO WHOLE WEEKS!
But that would be bad for me...because that's two weeks w/o pay! YIKES!
So...
I saw two good new movies this weekend...The Box (that's so Twilight Zone-ish) and the Stepfather (that movie is based from a America's Most Wanted story).
I still can't wait for Twilight New Moon to come out and Precious.
Well...TTYL!
~Karen
P.S. If any one wants to know what the heck a John Deere bean head picker looks like it looked like this:

Psalm:1

“Only Two Ways”

Psalm 1 is an introduction

To this wonderful book.

It invites us to enter

And to take a closer look.

The psalmist contrasts

Two opposite ways of life.

One way brings happiness,

The other causes only strife.

The happy man shuns evil

And walks not with the ungodly.

He stands not in sinners’ way.

From this place he will flee.

He delights in God’s law

And thinks of it day and night.

He seeks a godly life,

As he tries to do what is right.

He will be like a tree

Planted beside a stream,

Bringing forth good fruit

That is delicious and supreme.

Whatsoever he does

Will surely turn out well.

He seeks God’s way.

He does not rebel.

The ungodly are not so.

Their ways are wrong.

They are like the chaff

That the wind carries along.

The ungodly shall not stand

In the Day of Judgment.

This is sure to happen

If they do not repent.

God knows who belongs to Him.

Their rewards await

They follow after God.

They will escape a terrible fate.

It’s time for you to choose!

Which path will you take?

This is the greatest decision

That you will ever make.

Only two options exist.

They are plain and clear.

A life surrendered to God

Brings peace with nothing to fear.

~Karen

Time to take them out of the equation just for a while & take care of YOU.  Just keep your distance from them for now & just let them know that you just need to take care of your health...get stronger...then...."clean house".  I know being a mom is hard to do that, but, it's better for u to be alive & then take care of business then gone & all be too late.  Know what I mean jellybean??  I had to do that.  Boy, it was tough.  But, we got thru it all & now everyone is doing great & we're all fine.  Still some issues, but, controllable.   I'm praying for you.

I know Karen. Yeah...His company is Young Grain Farms, Inc. And his ins. Is thru Country Ins. And I heard from the claims rep today but got her voice mail and I'm waiting for her to call back. So he does have ins.
I love my new home. I just wish we didn't have a bar across the street cuz Ron's been getting drunk lately and causing us a lot of problems and I'm getting tired of it.
I told him about it and talked to him but it's every weekend and I tell him, it only starts with ONE beer...
*sigh*
That ticks me off because I don't cause any problems. And that's why I never understand why my fam. Have to cause probs for me?
It's like my life isn't fair sometimes.
And it's really not fair that I need the therapy because they need the therapy but refuse to go.
And it's causing me major health problems. Now I'm on oxygen at night and I have to see a cardiologist today.
Grrrrrrr!!!!!
But I LOVE my home!!!!!!!!! You should see how beautifully I fixed it up!
It's purrrrty!!!!!!!!
Love,

Oh, my goodness, Karen!!!   At least he is going to pay for the damages & not try to screw you over....we hope, anyways.  You said he owns a pretty big farm out there, so, he is not gonna try to mess things up cuz he has a reputation he needs to keep up.

How are you liking your new home??  Sounds like you live in a pretty quiet place.  I do & I love it.  I have a few neighbors, but, very few traffic, too.  Send pics when you get a chance!

LOL...I take it you like to craft!  LOL...

And then in December we're off nearly TWO WHOLE WEEKS!
But that would be bad for me...because that's two weeks w/o pay! YIKES!
So...
I saw two good new movies this weekend...The Box (that's so Twilight Zone-ish) and the Stepfather (that movie is based from a America's Most Wanted story).
I still can't wait for Twilight New Moon to come out and Precious.
Well...TTYL!

LOL...I take it you like to craft!  LOL...

Love,
~Karen

WHEN FAMILY BONDS SHATTER

Hillcrest Baptist Church, November 23, 2008

II Samuel 13:1—20:26

“Fractured Family Bonds”

David’s heartache was almost

More than anyone could bear.

His life turned upside down,

And he was in deep despair.

The troubles started when

Amnon lusted after Tamar.

He raped his half- sister.

He had gone much too far.

Tamar fled to Absalom,

Who was her brother, also.

He protected poor Tamar,

But his anger began to grow.

Tamar was disgraced.

She didn’t deserve the shame.

Amnon would pay later

For harming the family name.

Absalom sought vengeance

For Amnon’s horrible crime.

Two years later he killed Amnon,

Who was then in his prime.

Absalom was forced into exile.

Later he was allowed to return.

David chose not to see him,

For his anger continued to burn.

Time continued to march on,

And Absalom’s popularity grew.

He schemed against his father,

As the throne he did pursue

For a time in their lives,

Absalom had the upper hand.

David was forced to flee.

While Absalom took command.

David’s forces rallied

To support their beloved king.

A civil war took place,

And great sorrow it did bring.

While Absalom rode in the forest,

His long hair caught in a tree.

Joab killed Absalom,

Disregarding David’s plea.

Despite Absalom’s revolt,

David loved his wayward son.

He grieved over Absalom’s death,

Though his forces the battle had won.

All families have conflicts

Of one kind or another.

It could involve siblings

Or even a father or mother.

Vengeful attitudes are wrong.

They can cause hurt feelings.

We need to be kind and forgiving

In all our family dealings.

Families should stick together

And always live in love.

Then peace will reign in the home,

And this will please God above!

GOD’S GPS

By: Joseph J. Mazzella

I saw one of those new Global Positioning System units today. Those are the ones that hook up to satellites to tell you where you are and what turn to take to get where you are going. It wasn’t in my car of course. Like a lot of men I prefer to go where the road takes me even if I do get lost once in a while. Some of my best times too have come when I have taken my old car on a wrong turn or down a road less traveled. I find that the scenery is always a bit more exciting too when everything isn’t mapped out for you.

In fact, life itself is full of wrong turns, missing maps, and frequent potholes. That is what makes it such an interesting drive. Thankfully, there is one GPS that we all can use when we find ourselves lost on this road of life. This GPS won’t give us a lighted map or step by step directions. It will, however, help us to make the right choices to get where we need to go. This GPS will even let us make a wrong turn if we want to, but it will always gently nudge us back to the right highway to take us home. This GPS is God’s love.

God’s love is always there to nurture us and guide us as we travel on. It is there to help us make every choice and decide on every turn. It is there to help us drive our lives down the right road and to enjoy the scenery along the way. It may even guide us off the highway at times to help a stranded motorist or pick up a lost hitchhiker. One thing is sure though. God’s love will always lead you home in this life and in the next.

Dannion Brinkley said that: "When love alone acts as your compass, your life is always right on course." I may never want a GPS telling me how to drive my car, but I will always welcome God and His love to guide me on how to drive my life. He may not always let me see the map, but I trust that He knows where we are going.
