Hi,
I'm new here. :-)
I found out from Kym Lambert ni Dhoireann that an article I wrote, "The Sacred Celtic Horse," has been plagerized by one Debbie Goodrich. My article, with copyright notice, can be found here:
For comparison's sake, the lifted article, without any authorship defined (and so one would assume it is Debbie Goodrich who wrote it), is here:
As you can see, the first half of the article on Debbie Goodrich's website is my copyrighted article, word-for-word. (Where she lifted the second half from I have no idea.) There are several people who know that I authored this piece back in 1997 and it was published in a small journal called The Pantheon, and I contacted the editor recently and she still has copies of the issue it was published in.
I have written to Debbie Goodrich twice now. The first time I identified this as my writing, and sent the link to my article with copyright notice and asked her to remove it from her website. There was no response.
I waited about 5 days, looked again and it was still there, so I sent a link to a copyright myths article that Kym graciously provided, and asked her again to remove my article from her website. Still no answer, and it's still there, as you all can see.
What can I do now? How do I get this woman (who calls herself an author) to remove *my words* from her website? I'm furious!
Thanks,
Leigh
