Description
This group is for code developers working on the Arachne Web Browser for DOS and Linux, for technical discussions and for sharing of source code.
For now at least, to contribute code, first make a directory with your name, then upload your file (don't forget to give it a clear description). Files may be uploaded (also downloaded, of course) in DOS using Lynx386 version 2.8.5dev.16 or version 2.8.5rel.1 (for quick and easy installation, see the applicable "Tools/lynx4au*.zip" package in the "Files" area).
To access the "web features" here (eg. to download from the file repository) using Arachne, you will need to first sign-in via Yahoo UK ( http://uk.my.yahoo.com/index.html ), before coming to this URL (refresh if necessary). This allows you to sign-in using the "Https2Http Yes" option in 'arachne.cfg', as otherwise you would require genuine SSL (https) to sign-in, which Arachne doesn't (yet) support. If this doesn't work, try Glenn's Login page for Yahoo (see "Links" area, first link).
Note, if you need a Yahoo ID (ie. to access the "web features"), you will need to use an “SSL (https) capable” browser for the registration process. Lynx386 should suffice using DOS (don’t forget to view the JPEG image on the registration page for your verification code). The "Sign Up" link near the top of this page should get you started. JavaScript capability is no longer required during registration, at least for now.
To participate in the group's mailing list only, just send a blank e-mail to the Subscribe address given below. No Yahoo ID or particular web browser capabilities are required to participate in the mailing list, so Arachne/Insight is all you need.

Re: OT: Current virus scanner for DOS
Hi Ron, Sure, this page gives a brief overview of their command line scanners (these seem to be marketed as low-cost scanners for "advanced" users) :

Hi Folks, I don't know if I mentioned this a while ago (couldn't find it with a quick search), but following the loss of F-Prot, there is still one virus
