What is ETG :
The Emerging Technology Group (ETG) is formed by Prof Poornachandra Sarang ( Univ. of Mumbai ) in December 2006 with the vision to bridge the gap between industry and academics. We encourage Post Graduate students and teachers from the various branches of Computers viz, MSc (Master of Science), MCA (Master of Computer Applications, ME (Master of Engineering) and students of other allied disciplines who are interested in upgrading their skills on latest and emerging technologies in computing to join this group. We also encourage people from industry who are interested in upgradig their skills to join this group.
Our Mission :
Our Goal is to introduce new and emerging technologies to the students so as to enable them to face the challenges of today's industry. We also aim to upgrade the skills of university teachers to make them more aware of the industry requirements and the current trends in computing. We strive to achieve this by offering regular classroom sessions by eminent and technically strong personalities. Industry will also benefit from a ready pool of students for their project requirements. Students can interact with industry persons for their academic and industry-related projects which are mandatory requirements for their degrees.
