You could try Camera Market in Old Delhi but im not too sure if your parents
would be happy sending you there/accompanying you there plus it would take a
long time :p

Personaly, I would get the Remote from Connaught Place as you have tons of
options there and there's also the nearby Palika Bazar. You could try Mahatta
and Co. there (Somewhere in M-Block) If they're out of stock, check somewhere
else... This option WILL be a bit more expensive but since youre going to China
you would want to save the hassle of going all the way to Old Delhi and really,
when you look at the larger scheme of things, its not that great an expense.

Alternatively, you could try using your laptop as a remote. For mac, try
SofortBuild(free), Nikon Camera Control Pro (paid) or Solar Eclipse Maestro
(free).
On windows, you could use Nikon Camera Control Pro, which although its paid for,
you can easily get from *cough* *cough* other sources. I'm not too familiar with
windows freeware but im sure someone else would be able to help you :)
