The actors are not 20ms away from stage monitors most of the time. Nor
are musicians 20ms away from any hotspots or other pit monitors,
etc..... :-))
This is why I want to control where the delay is, and not be controlled
(or limited) by it.
Although I doubt anyone can really hear 4ms, except maybe in a headphone
mix (which of course is getting more and more popular in orchestra pits
these days), in my opinion adding 10ms onto everything is just a bit too
much. Plus as I said before, I think those are rather rosy, best case
scenarios, but feel free to prove me wrong.
