Hi Dave -

This will need to be answered by the developer of the firmware, Tim Bartoo of
HFI, and he monitors this list.

But I should remind everyone here that the AudioBox is a 'legacy' product which
means that no new development should be done with it as we are currently only
shipping reconditioned units and no new units will be built from now on.

For all new development using the audio system stucture which we pioneered with
our Command/Cue and AudioBox systems, we recommend that you use our
SoundMan-Server software, which is now far more powerful than those earlier
systems and is truly the future of audio engines.

There is a free version which works without any license and which you can
download from our web site at any time plus we will provide a full size
development dongle to anyone who wants to develop applications for
SoundMan-Server. We currently have about 35 third party developers working with
SoundMan-Server, mostly creating user applications and GUIs for it and all new
projects should be designed around this software rather than the AudioBox.

We will continue to ship AudioBoxes and we do have all models of AudioBox
available which are reconditioned and warranteed but they are intended for
projects which have already been designed to use that hardware and not for new
builds or new development.

I am always pleased to provide full support for all developers and users of
SoundMan-Server and maintenance for all AudioBox users.

Please read more about SoundMan-Server, our new Virtual Sound System product
here:

Thanks very much for everyone's interest in the AudioBox and our Virtual Sound
System developments which have been pioneering the industry since 1985.

Sincerely,
Charlie
