Audience Choice Night!   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #212 of 326 |
I remember David Letterman giving his audience various choices, so that night they used dental chairs and altered the audio to sound like they were breathing helium.  Jane Pauley was a little too reserved for that and wrote her answers!

We're not going to be that crazy.  It's just that I have way more things I could talk about than there will be time for!  So I'll let y'all choose and we'll go as far as we can!

We'll stat with news and Q&A.  Be thinking about your Q's!

Then Joe is going to show us a real world (the best kind) example of using meeting requests from Outlook.  This program and this function are both obviously very powerful and as with anything else, knowing how to use it is very helpful.  I know I'll have some questions... and maybe a few tips here too.

Here's my list... cheering (not really, but response) will determine the order:
  • Google Checkout.  Is it really the Paypal killer it was anticipated to be?  Want to get some good coupons?  I already got a nice discount on some Starbucks coffee!
  • Sending a fax for free!  Really!  My search for a really free one finally struck gold!  There are some limitations on usage, but for the really occasional user, they're no problem.
  • Google Spreadsheet.  I got my invitation when I got home after our last meeting!  See what's good about it and what isn't.
  • iRows.  A better online spreadsheet?
  • Yahoo My Web.  Save web pages as they are along with their links and organize 'em your way!
  • Google Notebook.  Clip pieces of web pages and organize 'em.
  • Picasa 2.0.  Now with web publishing!
  • Toolbars.  Skype and Google have made some helpful improvements
I could talk all night!

When and where:
