POSITION DESCRIPTION
Marketing Project manager
eInstruction Corporation is the leading provider of interactive response systems
for the K-12 and postsecondary markets, based in Denton, Texas. A wholly owned
subsidiary, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, is the leading provider of timesaving
educational software products for test preparation and administration, lesson
planning, and student performance assessment for educators and educational
publishers.

Position Summary
Plans, coordinates, and develops senior level support materials for the sale and
distribution of products and services through independent education consultants
and dealers. Leads the work of others - from concept inception through final
production - to deliver effective marketing campaigns, advertising, brochures,
sales kits and other promotional materials. Works with a wide degree of
creativity under minimal supervision and minimal range of decision-making.
Regularly updates manager and escalates issues to manager, as appropriate.
Responsibilities
* Responds to customer requests and questions, and consults with
customer to define need, recommend alternate or specific solutions.
* Works with manager to determine and obtain approval on budgetary
requirements and limitations.
* Leads project teams effectively on assigned projects, from
conceptualization through completion, ensuring timely and quality delivery of
final materials.
* Performs all logistical elements (organization, distribution, and
production) of marketing support materials for eCs and dealers.
* Interacts with key departments and resources in the development,
review, and approval of sales and marketing materials.
* Ensures consistency and accuracy of messages and adheres to
established corporate and department standards in review cycle of material
development.
* Supports various sales activities through the development of sales
collateral, ancillary materials required for proposals, sales presentations,
conferences, special events, seminars, etc.
* Composes copy and works in collaboration with designers on layout, as
required to ensure timely and quality delivery of final support materials.
* Monitors special projects and marketing activities and regularly
reports progress/status to management in writing and verbally.
* Provides additional support, as needed, to other distribution
channels.
* Fosters relationships and favorable contacts with internal and
external sales representatives.
* Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Required:
* Bachelor¡Çs degree or commensurate experience in Marketing.
* Proven experience working in a similar function for at least seven
years.
* Demonstrated advanced knowledge of sales and marketing processes.
* Possesses senior level marketing, sales, copy, and creative skills
that demonstrate an ability to communicate ideas effectively - both technical
and creative - in a clear, focused, and concise manner. Expected to provide
examples of work (e.g., marketing collateral) that demonstrate ability to create
and implement projects from various concepts.
* Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written business
communication skills with ability to convey information in a clear, focused, and
concise manner.
* Proven experience coordinating multiple projects or assignments
simultaneously and completing assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis.
Cite examples of project management experience in planning, executing, and
maintaining marketing initiatives from start to finish.
* Proven experience working independently with little direction,
including identifying and resolving problems where independent decision-making
and initiative are required. Cite examples of independent decision-making and
self-initiative.
* Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail with excellent
organizational skills. Must provide examples of handling difficult situations
effectively while maintaining high volumes of work.
* Demonstrated experience identifying problems within project teams and
providing effective recommendations to resolve.
* Demonstrated strong proficiency and experience with complex computer
systems, including Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Desired:
* Experience with Microsoft Access or similar databases strongly
preferred.
* Direct response marketing and print advertising experience a plus.
