I'd be delighted to add any of my thousands of files to the group -
just need instructions as to how to properly post them to the group,
and how to avoid duplications.
Thanks,

Hello,I just joined your group in hopes that you would allow me to
stick
around. I am a complete Newbie to BIAB and MIDI sequencing. I have
had
the program for quite a while but could not install it due to space
limitations on my disk. I just upgraded to a larger disk and only
installed and opened BIAB 9 for the first time today. I am hoping
to be
able to learn the program and start developing my own MIDI files in as
short of a time span as my busy schedule and slow learning abilities
will
allow. If you decide not to allow me to stay, then could you please
direct me to someone who would be willing to help me get started? Of
course at this point in time I would not be able to contribute styles
or
files to the group.Thank you for your consideration,

I did not see my last post listed. I asked, "Where are the 10,000
files that are advertised?" I just joined and can't find them. If
these were produced by the 20 members then that is a prodigeous total
of 'new' song files. If they are the same old songs found everywhere
ad nauseum in any BIAB board on the internet then why waste the
bandwidth to repost them here?????
Jim Sievers
I just joined and will post files, however, where are the 10,000
files that are advertised? With only 20 members that's pretty
prodigious for a new Yahoo group, unless these are the same files
that are all over everywhere ad nauseum.

Dear huapango:
Greetings from BIABfsg!
We are pleased to have you here! And, yes, we do know that there are
some Ear Training programs out there. You might like to try Auralia
(one of most well-known ear training program to date, it costs around
$119, but if you are currently a student, college student or
otherwise, you might be offered its Auralia Academic Version for only
$79) EarMaster Pro 4 (good), Ear Power(well, price is reasonable for
this program. We find its good for practicing you rhythm though) Play
It By Ear and WinOYE(nice little shareware)Also, Band-in-a-box V.10
has a build-in ear training program - a little one, but still pretty
handy.
There are more ear training/ear training-related programs out there,
for instance, Intonation Trainer. We might not want to list all of
them in here however. But we would like to ask you to try some of
programs that can slow down you music - CD. WAV. MP3 and so on. There
are also many this type of programs out there in the market. We love
Musician*s CD Player(very reasonable price) Slowgold/SlowBlast and so
on. Those programs can literally slow down your music without
changing your pitch. (you may, or you may not, it*s your choose.)
Nevertheless, those sort of programs require a good computer for its
REAL TIME performance.
As far as 6/8 12/8 rhythm things, we are not quite certain what you
are referring to though, please explain you thoughts in order for us
to provide better respond. Are you referring to make those rhythm in
Band-in-a-box? Or are you referring to rhythms themselves? Please
advise us in that regard.
Thank you for your participation in this group. With best regards.
Respectfully yours,

Hi. I am new to this group. I hope that as the name implies
I can share files-songs with members of this group. I have a
request. Are there any programs for ear training? I want to learn
how to figue out the chords used off a cd of some songs. Is there
a program that can help me with this? I would also like to create
rythmns such as latin rythmns: huapango, son jaliciense, bolero etc.
that are not main stream American styles. How do I learn how to create
peculiar rythmns that are 6/8 , 12/8 etc. ? Last, someone emailed me
on where to download BIAB version 8. Does anybody know where this can
be done? Thanks,
I have an extensive knowlege of Latin music I would
like to share with these group. But I need technical help.
i am a vip member of biabfsg now, can i post my songs as e-mail attachments? I like the idea to put songs in 'file section', but i think it's friendlier to just attach your biab songs when you post you message. i hope this will not against biabfsg's file sharing policy...

Dear members:
Greetings from BIABfsg!
Thank you for your prompt attention to our screensaver for the group.
Nevertheless, for my knowledge, she has no idea of BIAB, or Cakewalk
and so. That's why we call her our "exclusive" artist.
Thank you for your support of this group! With best regards!

Dear members:
Greetings from BIABfsg!
We are now proudly announcing that our exclusive artist had created a
screensaver for our group. This member-only screensaver comes with a
self-installer, easy to use and is displaying with the design-
conscious and thoughts of generation D (referring to generation
Digital). It*s now been uploaded by our moderator to the File section
under BIABfsg ScreenSaver folder. Enjoy your membership of BIABfsg!
Your prompt attention to this matter is appreciated.
Respectfully yours,
BIABfsg
Hmmm....old Logo is still in our link page, right? I like new one, but it takes some time to download.......maybe our 'exclusive' artist should consider its size....
Dear members:
Greeting from BIABfsg!
We now open our membership to all! In doing so, we had removed our
BIAB files from File Section in order to keep of our promise to our
VIP members who share music, contribute their thoughts of life. To
become a VIP member, you would have to contribute BIAB files as
stated in group description. Our moderators will evaluate your work,
after later, your will gain the full access of our file section!
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Dear members of BIABfsg:
Greetings from BIABfsg!
We are now proudly replacing old BIABFSG logo with a new GIF file.
This Flash-like file is uploaded by our exclusive artist who is
responsible for our old logo. She stated that she spent only 5
minutes for each piece, using Macromedia Flash 5. We are now
expressing our gratitude for her tasty art work. Please e-mail in
this regard. Tell me what you think about new logo.
Your prompt attention to this matter is very appreciated.

Dear new-member-will-be:
Greeting from BIABFSG!
This little group has been operating for some time now and we are
trying to keep it as private as possible since music itself is a very
private and intimate thing. The owner of this group is expressing her
appreciation to moderators of BIABFSG for their clever idea,
contribution and participation that has made this group a family.
As far as the issue of restricted membership is concern, moderators
voted during the last chat room meeting and decided to keep that way
for a little longer. Thus, for those people who are interesting in
joining this group, our position is solid in the issue regarding
restricted membership. So please do not ask again as to whether you
can join this group without any contribution or not, citing that you
are a newbie of Band-in-a-Box music program. The answer to that
question is obvious now. We can offer the consequence of breaking the
spirit of contribution, sharing and all of that.
As for some people who had tried to join this group by submitting
files in which he or she downloaded from Internet, we have to
reiterate our position that those works will not be approved by our
moderators. Every BIAB file submitted by new-member-will-be would be
evaluated by at least three of our moderators, it would normally take
one to three days. So please DO NOT submit files that you downloaded
from Internet.
Your prompt attention to this matter is highly appreciated.
Respectfully yours,
BIABFSG
Dear members:
Greeting from BIABFSG.
We are now happily introducing our two members of BIABFSG. Their
membership will be activated this weekend. Please join your stay.
Respectfully yours,
BIABFSG
To Owner of BIABFSG:
Can you reveal the process of making those files? I am really thrilled by those
excise files, like Giant Steps, Countdown, Moment Notice. How can you create 72
choruses of Giant Steps patterns in 12 key with one day as you cited on your
pervious e-mail?
Donald, moderator of BIABFSG
[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
Dear Moderators:

a-box File Sharing Group, on Sunday at GMT 3:00. Please be there on

Best Regards,
