Hello All,
I'm new to the group. I will be using the following equipment: Tak 130 OTA on a
AP1200 mount, Tak 102 as guide scope with SBIG remote guide head, SBIG ST2000XM
with CFW10 color filter wheel. I'm thinking about purchasing the - Baader LRGB
Filter Set, 1.25" (#FLRGB-1), - Baader Clear Filter, 1.25" (#FC-1), - Baader
Narrowband 7nm H-Alpha Filter, 1.25" (#FHALN-1), Set of 4 Baader Narrowband
CCD-Filters (Ha/Hb/OIII/SII), 1¼" , and last but not least the - Baader
IR-Pass Filter, 1¼" (#FIRP-1). All these filters for under $1000. I was also
considering the Astrodon filters but they are very expensive. I would have to
spend in the range of $1500 or so to get the same filters. I have read all
information about both filter types and my gut feeling is to go with the Baader
not only for price but how they are made. If anyone has used both types I would
like to know if one brand is better than the other or is this like Ford versus
Chevy? Thanks for any input and you can email me directly for a response at
astromark@....
Thanks,
Mark
