Hi All.
A few newbie questions.
First off, I am not a musician!!
Second, I am using BIAB 2008.5 with Real Band
I created a single note melody line on a guitar and entered it note
by note into Guitar Pro 5.2 using a Roland GI-20 pitch to MIDI
converter.
Guitar Pro generated (with some editing) the score in music notation
and determined that it was written in Eb and the underlying scale
was Eb Augmented 5th.
I exported it as a MIDI file and imported that file into BIAB.
BIAB created a whole set of chords under the single note melody line.
However, BIAB has noted that the melody line is in Bb.
1) How does BIAB make its key signature determination?
BIAB created a great jazz rendition of the entered melody line using
a default style; but I now have to find a BIAB style that comes close
to the sound that I had in mind when I created it.
I am looking for a BIAB style that is a quiet,smooth jazz/blues
(around 100 to 120 BPM) that has a lead jazz guitar, rhythm guitar,
accoustic bass, drums and saxaphone and which will all convert to
Real Band audio instead of MIDI.
2) Any style suggestions?
I intend to replace the lead jazz guitar with an audio recording of
myself playing the melody line and use the BIAB generated backing
having muted the BIAB created melody line.
3) Can I use Real Band as the sequencer to join the BIAB created
backing with my audio input of the melody line and then render all to
WAVE or MP3?
Thanks,
David Latham
