Barefoot Gardener: an organic and permaculture volunteer gardening group centered in Polk County, FL (Lakeland), including Tampa on the West and past Orlando on the East. For those in Central Florida who want to learn to grow their own fresh seasonal veggies, fruits, nuts & herbs, raise their own animals humanely, healthily, using organic practices, permaculture and biodynamics or find where it can be obtained.

The Downtown Lakeland Farmers Curb Market, Sweetwater Farms in Tampa are some of where members can buy & sell their organic wares, thus filling a much-needed niche for available fresh local organic produce, free range eggs, organic grass fed beef, soap, raw milk, etc.
Members offer classes, workshops, tours, field trips, conferences throughout the year.
