Description
Mushrooms and mushroomers, mycology and mycologists; this list, sponsored by the Bay Area Mycological Society (BAMS), provides stimulating discussion and up-to-the-minute information on all things mushroom. Our emphasis is on the mushrooms of the greater San Francisco Bay Area, but our myco-network extends from the East Bay throughout Northern California and beyond. We believe that everyone has something to learn, and something to share. Add your voice to the growing chorus.
Any topic related to mushrooms or the pursuit of mushrooms is allowed.
Photos for identification or edification of other members may be posted in the photos section or attached to your message.
Banned topics: sale or cultivation of controlled substances, commercial announcements or ads, or topics not having a direct bearing on mushrooms or mushrooming.
Please sign your full, real name. If your full name appears in your e-dress, that is sufficient.
All messages and photos posted to this list or its website, whether explicitly marked or not, should be considered to be copyrighted by the author. Using this material, other than quotes on this list for the purpose of discussion, requires the written permission of the original author.
Philosophy: this list is designed for the artful transmission of mushroom knowledge and ideas. Lively discussion on mushroom-related topics is encouraged. These exchanges should be informative, entertaining and respectful. All levels are welcome.
BAMS is based in Oakland, California, and is dedicated to fostering collegiality and scientific knowledge within the mushrooming community, and providing high quality information to the general public, in a fun and engaging way.
