Justin,
If I understand you correctly, you are concerned about the settled biodiesel
picking up small amounts glycerin from the processed but unsettled fuel. Don't
worry about it, it will wash out easily, just introduce water slowly (this holds
true with all first washes). If you wash aggressively during the first wash, you
could easily create an emulsion, not fun.

in that situation, if I am concerned, I would simply divert the first
quart and toss it back into the collected WVO tank. When I built my
system, I added in extra T's and valves and gave myself the ability to
divert flow at several places.
otherwise, don't stress over it. its such a small amount that its not
that big of a deal.
