I have used German Mann filters on my Golf TDI none of the breakdown you
mentioned. I have a prefilter before & after the main filter. These are common
NAPA cheap filters. The final 'perfilter' is used as a sight glass (I can see if
fuel is flowing) & is 10 micron. Fibers have not collected in this filter.
Now about doing a test with some of the filter media in a quart jar of B100 &
see what settles out?
Please post any results?

greetings guys - i have been making and using BIO for a few years now . I have
Nissan Patrol 4.2 TDI - one thing i have noticed is that if i run more than 50%
bio in my fuel blend it tends to break down the Fuel filter in the Truck - it
loosens the fibers and they end up in the last VERY fine filter before the fuel
pump , which means i have to keep spare copper seals for the Banjo nut to the
fuel pump so i can clean it when it blocks up. has anyone else had this problem
???
I have tried a few different Brands of filters - but i suspect they all come out
of the same factory - just different paint on the outside ...
