when demething glycerine it is recomended that the glycerine be heated to 240f
for best results, this assures that the gly is no longer meth bound and is safe.
a report was done by Matt Steiman at dickenson college and confirmed by the epa.
i have been lucky enough to find an outlet for my soap at $2.00  a gallon .

Subject: [Biodiesel] Recovering methoxide from glyserin
I have noticed that after sitting for extended periods the gly by product
accumulates a layer of bio on top. I don't think that the bio existed when the
gly was first seperated. I rather think that the meth in the gly continued to
process the gly and formed the bio. Is this true?
I want to recover ALL the meth in the gly so I can make soap from it...safely. I
have heard it suggested to add new WVO to gly to improve the WVO in some way. Is
it viable to add the gly from the previous batch to the warmed oil and get the
meth reacted completely?
Thank you,
John
