Re: [Biodiesel] Wash water pump (for misting) recommendations

Steve,

The misters will need higher pressure than a bilge pump will produce. This should produce enough, hopefully it's not too expensive.

I puchased/installed the Orbit Arizona misting kit in my settling/washing tank. I am trying to pump wash water from a 20 gal rubbemaid tote thru the misters.

I tried one of the self priming 12v marine pumps from HF, but the misting was intermittent and sometimes just dribbles. I don't think the pump built enough pressure and/or doesn't like pumping against the low flow misters.

I am thinking that a bilge pump might work better - not sure.
Can anyone recommend a pump for this application that is reasonably priced?

Thanks,
Steve H.
