Re: too simple

The best way to avoid a scam is not to communicate with anyone.

RED FLAGS:
1. Notice a phone number but no mention of who these guys are?
2. Take a look at the email address and their email handle this person
uses. No care was used. If this was really important why names like
kdsfljasl@...? Why the spelling errors too? Why does
the website not exist?

Yep sounds too simple and careless.

Hello sagewlkr,

Sorry to say right now I don't program in Blitz3D.  But hopefully people who come to this new site will post some ideas and links for various Blitz tutorials.

Sincerely the moderator- F.Dunn.

Hello sagewlkr,

I do have a website for a good Visual Basic Tutorial that can lend a hand in some syntax of the BASIC family structures.  It's the best tutorial I found albeit its not exactly what you want - A Tutorial for Blitz3D.

Hello zortzblatz,

Also keep in mind with models that if 1 format is not directly
compatible to blitz3d...

One format can be converted to another and then convert that format to
a blitz3d format.

FORMAT 1 > FORMAT 2 > BLITZ FORMAT.

Sincerely Triopstor.

Hello zortzblatz,

I've been sick recently.

Perhaps one useful program is Anim8or

It's free. Check it out here

http://www.anim8or.com/main/index.html

Also those forums for "ORGE"/"Irrlicht" (competitors
of BlitzBasic) can list perhaps some
3d gfx thx tutorials.

Some chaps are helpful at
http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/topic.asp

Becareful not to get into tiffs. Best to post there
rather than private emails until you know some of the
people well.

Sincerely Triopstor.

Hello,

Welcome to BlitzBasic programming.

HOW I FIRST MET BLITZBASIC
--------------------------
I first learned about BlitzBasic from a QBasic programmer who said
goodbye to the QBasic world on his/her website.

I said to myself as a great devotee to QBasic 4.5, "What is this
BlitzBasic that he/she left QBasic about?"

I was so impressed by what I learned/saw that I considered
programming also in BlitzBasic in the future.

I also learned a bit about the main competitor of BlitzBasic -
DarkBasic.

BLITZBASIC VS. DARKBASIC
------------------------
Currently there are advantages to both over each other. Here's what
I reaped from the Internet. These are not my opinions but I do
believe them.

- One person said DarkBasic can be faster since it uses a more
updated version of DirectX. But keep in mind BlitzBasic can use
DirectX 7.0 and this also depends on your programming
skills. "DIRECTX" - That means both Basics don't have to be
concerned too much on different hardware/software systems. (I still
don't like Windows Operating System Platform. I prefer the MS-DOS
I'm using.)

- But what impressed me about BlitzBasic was the claim that
BlitzBasic has an entity feature(I hope I have that right) that
makes programming simplier to program than DarkBasic. A DarkBasic
forum moderator admitted so but said DarkBasic has ways of emulating
what can be done in BlitzBasic. Many people have said BlitzBasic is
easier to program in.

- The same moderator of a DarkBasic board said the advantage of
working in BlitzBasic is since that BlitzBasic is older(was released
before DarkBasic), the collective group of programmers who use Blitz
have a precedence of programming skills. This can be clearly shown
by the results of Blitz vs Dark programs.

- One BlitzBasic programmer who has postings on both DarkBasic &
Blitz forums claims certain features of DarkBasic crash and can not
be used. He claims these amount to be a hundred features. (I suppose
its like Visual Basic 5.0/6.0. Visual Basic 5.0/6.0 has many
features provided by Microsoft but if you don't use them properly
you get caught in a web of code that has to be dispatched. No fun
if 3 part-time days of code has to be thrown out. I've found this
out the hard way. I basically (no pun intended) refuse to program
in Visual Basic 5.0/6.0 to any great extent.)

I hope you can appreciate the differences of BlitzBasic vs.
DarkBasic. To be fair though to DarkBasic, one programmer of
DarkBasic is inciting other DarkBasic enthusiasts to catch up to
what can be accomplished in Blitz.

WHY THIS FORUM?
---------------
I established this board to enhance my QBasic and to learn more
about Blitz programming skills.

Please enjoy your stay here even if you program in some kind of
Basic, QBasic 4.5, PureBasic, Liberty Basic or DarkBasic. All of us
of the Basic kindred can get together. Perhaps their will be again
a new/better B.A.S.I.C. lanquage of the future that will unite
all... OR then again... the only computer of the future is his brain.

Sincerely your Gum Shoe Detective, Triopstor.
