As many of you will have noticed, the clearing of mail for this list has been
erratic of late. The primary reason for this is my own lack of access to the
internet over the last couple of years. During this time, much of the moderation
work has been carried out by the Moderation Team. To them all I - and we - owe a
great debt of gratitude.

Central to this team has been until very recently one Mark Hall, the IRQUAS
Discussion Manager, well known to many of you I'm sure. Mark has unfortunately
of late been unable to maintain his access to the 'net and has - regretfully I
think - had to stand down from his position. Moves are underway to place another
person in this role, and to add some new names to the Moderation Team.

For now, though, I would ask you to be patient with us as we get our house back
in order. Mails will continue to be delayed on some groups in the IRQUAS family
for some days more, but this will hopefully be resolved within a week. Most
groups will see a return to normal service within the next two days.

People interested in joining the Moderation Team one these or other IRQUAS
groups should contact myself direct, NOT THROUGH THIS GROUP. Mails on this
subject sent to discussion groups will indicate a lack of brain juice, and
result in the application being binned. Send mail to: calraige@...

Finally, I would like to say to Mark Hall that I am in debt to him for his
patience, enthusiasm, dedication and loyalty to the IRQUAS project. I cannot
repay this other than to say that I am proud to have worked beside him for the
last four and a half years. Thank you, Mark, for everything.
