I wonder if the sensor chip is sold by itself as an OEM item.  I assume the packaged dental imaging system is pretty expensive, since it's a medical device, but the "naked" sensor might be affordable to the hobbyist.

It is the coolest thing I have seen in many a year.

It is a mini-Xray film pad that is DIGITAL! OMG!

They took Digital Xray Pix of my teeth and the pix appeared right in front of me on the PC screen. So Amazing! Imagine what we could image with one of these things. Put an ore sample on the pad, click the button, and bravo - a snap shot of the radiation source. OH, the possibilities!

They had that for years where I live, they can increase or decrease the contrast right at the computer to spot the small holes right away....
