Testing conducted using Ludlum Model 3 Survey Meter with Bicron PGM pancake probe.
Background count, 10 minute average: 23.4 CPM
OGP-44L tube placed under probe's screen, 10 minute average: 71.6 CPM
The seller stated, "this rather anemic Kr-85 check source.
Kr85 has a weak 514kV gamma line and stronger Bremsstrahlung below that from the betas.The total activity is about 2X to 3X above background, about 20uR-30uR.
It's not going to knock your socks off."
The seller's claim for the tube's activity is "about 2X to 3X above background" is accurate based upon this tube and test measurements. Since the measured response turned out to be 3.06 times background for this tube, I gave the seller great feedback for his accuracy and reasonable price :-)
