The Chicago Transhumanist Association (CTA)

The CTA is a chapter of the World Transhumanist Association (WTA).

We hold local discussions and promote public awareness of transhumanist ideas, issues, and technologies.

Transhumanists advocate the ethical use of technology to expand human capacities. We support the development of and access to new technologies that enable people to enjoy better minds, better bodies and better lives. In other words, we envision a world where everyone can be "better than well."

We welcome anyone interested in learning more about these possibilities and hope you will join us in working toward their realization. We need creative analysis and grassroots involvement to build a high-tech future for the benefit all.

* Democratic Transhumanists at the University of Chicago
* RAFT - "Rationalists and Freethinkers" at U.I.C.
* "New Humanists" at Northwestern University (now defunct)

CTA members helped host TransVision 2007 at the Field Museum.
